it's tradition that on new years day, we eat collard greens
& black eyed peas.
collard greens: represent money, the more you eat...
the more money you will have in the new year.
black eyed peas: luck.
you do not do laundry on new years day...
or else 3people will die!
you must buy something... in ca$h so that you have
money to spend all year.
some people {steve!} think that these traditions are kind
of goofy, but i love that we do them every year.
my nana & papa have carried these southern traditions
on from their grandparents, as i will carry them on in
my family.
it's tradition!
